Hi! I'm Sara :)

I'm a visual artist, fashion designer, and poet, working on a lifelong project to create 1,000 artworks, each paired with a poem. It's my visual diary, capturing life through bright colors, spirituality, and an exploration of the subconscious.

The Beginning

This journey began unexpectedly in late 2017. I was walking through Madison Square Park when the idea struck: create 1,000 pieces to better understand myself. At the same time, I felt called to share the poetry I had kept hidden for years. I started sharing on Instagram, and it opened my world. Now, I write at least one poem a day (usually more), as both an outlet and a spiritual practice.

The Evolution

The art itself has evolved. I started by drawing what I thought were mandalas, using colored pencils as a healing tool. I didn’t realize at the time the deep sacredness of mandalas, but I was drawn to their symmetry and intricate patterns. Over time, I explored their meaning and discovered that while my work shares elements like radial balance and central focus, it also blends inspiration from nature and vibrant colors. Around my 80th piece, I felt the need to break free from perfect symmetry, allowing my work to take on a more organic form guided by intuition.

Spirituality & Creative Process

Meditation is central to my creative process. It helps me connect with my inner creative energy, tapping into shapes and colors. I’ve transitioned through various mediums—from colored pencils to markers, watercolors, gouache, and now acrylics. Each medium has its own language, and I strive to listen to what it wants to express. And yes, oil paint is next :).

Fashion and Textile Design

I studied fashion design at Pratt Institute and started my career designing clothes and handbags. But over the years blending fashion and fine art has become a passion of mine. Art, poetry, and fashion are inseparable for me—believe me, I've tried to stay in one lane, but I just can't!

Art is Meant to Be Shared

This website is my way of inviting you into my creative world. I have an ongoing joke that I'm slowly infiltrating my friends' and family's homes with my art so they always think of me. Now, I hope to do the same for you. Welcome!
