78 - Experimental Heart

Experimental heart.
Youth is such a fragile time.
So mature for your age.
You will always be the little sister
I never had but always wanted.
I am thinking of you.
Always thinking of you.
I know I live far away.
But I promise I stand close by.

College is an exciting time.
But it can be challenging too.
People will tell you things like:
College is the best time of your life.
Cherish every moment.
Be wild. Say yes to everything.
You can sleep when you're dead.
And the list goes on.
But that's a lot of pressure, isn't it?
I dare you to ignore all that.
And do whatever you want to do.

If I can give you any advice?
It would be to learn
the difference between your
comfort zone and being uncomfortable.
To step out of your comfort zone,
to try something new,
it is exciting.
It will give you butterflies.
It will make your body heat up.
It will be a thrill filled with questions.
Chase this feeling with all that you have.

Because to be uncomfortable is different.
If it makes your skin crawl.
If it sends chills along your spine.
If it makes you feel embarrassed,
like you can't talk about it.
Then run, run the other way.
And never feel bad about it.
People might try to trick you into things.
But people who know who they are can never be tricked.
So go looking for yourself.

Whoever she is.
Try to find her.
She will protect you.
And she will guide you.
She will love you.
And she will teach you.
And some lessons might be painful.
But I promise they will be worth it.

Also try to remember
everyone is searching too.
And everyone has a story.
Some people scream it.
Some people hide it.
And some people will share it with those they trust.

Stay open to love in any which way
it presents itself.
Because love is everything.
And I'm not just talking about boys and romance.
I mean love in al its forms.
The deep connections you form with others
will be the clues to your heart.
So go experiment with your heart.
Your colorful heart.

And don't hold back.

I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
